Engineering ke baad MBA

Let's give credit where it's due. Engineering has been the most sought after degree in India ( after medicine). Engineering colleges have been sprouting up here and there and engineers have been minted in millions. I bet some idiot must have thought that there couldn't be " too many engineers"

And that's all the credit I can muster up. Here am I, second year in one of the most prestigious institutes in my state(or so they say) feeling rebellious as a Sex Pistols groupie typing out this blog during the most convenient of all times...finals month. Wondering what the fuck I was thinking in choosing this course. With empty alcohol bottles and Cigarrete butts being my companions.  It's like my room is a cell and I'm numbering my days . Waiting to grow my wings so I can take off!

But then, my parents drop another bombshell. "Beta, MBA is a nice course, you'll make good money". The first bombshell; "Mera beta ek engineer hai" has caused me enough trouble already. My passions of the arts, economics, psychology and cars were shattered by " I want to be a Production Engineer when I grow up" something I really don't recollect saying . They want me to do something every english speaking chootiya is doing. I'm no slave to the rat race. Where people who know jack voice in their opinions how this is good and it'll earn more money. Seriously? Has everything come down to that. The fact that they'll put me in a job to sell coke to poor people and to meet deadlines. In the end, it's the paycheck and the social status that their son is alos living the "life". Isn't there gonna be a day where there are too many people doing this. What do you think about this? Are you a rat to the system? Or are you gonna fight it. Let me know
